Privacy Policy - IBPM

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 7, 2026

IBPM ("Intentional Business Planning," "IBPM," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, disclosed, and protected when you use the IBPM mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through IBPM. Your use of IBPM may also be subject to separate Terms of Use and the terms and privacy practices of third-party platforms and service providers.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create or maintain an IBPM account, we may collect information such as:

  • Name or preferred name

  • Email address

  • Account identifier

  • Authentication and account-security information

  • Information necessary to maintain or recover your account

IBPM uses Firebase Authentication to support account creation, login, authentication, and account security. Firebase Authentication may also process technical information such as IP addresses and user-agent information for security and abuse prevention.

Profile and Digital Business Card Information

You may choose to provide information for your IBPM profile or digital business card, including:

  • Business or professional name

  • Job title or role

  • Contact information

  • Social media links

  • Website links

  • Profile photo, headshot, or business logo

  • Other professional information you choose to display or share

You control the information you choose to include in your profile.

Connections and User Content

IBPM allows you to organize business relationships and networking activity. Depending on the features you use, you may create or store:

  • Business connections and contact information

  • Notes about connections

  • Follow-up dates and reminders

  • Agenda tasks

  • Calendar information

  • Recurring follow-ups

  • Connection history

  • QR profile information

  • Business-planning information

  • Other content you voluntarily enter into the App

Some information you enter may relate to another person, such as a business connection. IBPM processes this information to provide your private networking and relationship-management features.

Activity and Insights Data

IBPM may process activity generated through your use of the App in order to provide features such as IBPM Insights, including:

  • Whether planned actions were completed

  • Follow-up activity

  • Follow-through percentages

  • Follow-up counts

  • Connection history

  • Weekly or monthly activity

  • Recurring follow-up activity

  • Other organizational or productivity measurements displayed within your account

These Insights are designed to help you understand and manage your own business-relationship activity.

Subscription Information

If you purchase IBPM Pro or another paid feature, the transaction is processed by the applicable app marketplace, such as the Apple App Store.

IBPM may receive or process information necessary to determine your subscription entitlement, including:

  • Subscription product

  • Transaction or purchase identifier

  • Purchase status

  • Renewal status

  • Expiration date

  • Subscription environment or related transaction information

Apple generates transaction information for in-app purchases and subscription renewals that applications may use to determine current entitlements.

IBPM does not receive your full payment-card number or directly process your App Store payment credentials.

Device, Technical, and Usage Information

Our service providers may automatically process certain technical information when you use IBPM, which may include:

  • Device type

  • Operating system

  • App version

  • IP address

  • Device or app identifiers

  • Crash, diagnostic, security, or performance information

  • General interaction with the App

  • Advertising-related information where applicable

The exact information processed depends on the features and third-party services in use.

2. Camera and Images

Camera

IBPM requests access to your device camera when you choose to scan an IBPM QR code.

Camera access is used for the scanning feature. IBPM does not store photographs simply because the camera was opened for QR scanning.

Profile Images and Logos

If you voluntarily upload a headshot, profile image, business logo, or similar image, that image may be stored or processed as part of your account or digital business card until you replace it, remove it, or delete your account, subject to the retention practices described below.

3. Notifications

With your permission, IBPM may provide notifications relating to:

  • Agenda tasks

  • Follow-up reminders

  • Recurring follow-ups

  • Planning reminders

  • Other App features you choose to use

You can change notification permissions through your device settings. Certain reminder settings may also be available within IBPM.

4. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

  • Create and maintain your account

  • Authenticate users and protect account security

  • Provide IBPM features and functionality

  • Save and synchronize your information across supported devices

  • Operate Agenda and Calendar functionality

  • Manage business connections and digital business cards

  • Enable QR-based sharing and connection features

  • Provide reminders and notifications

  • Generate IBPM Insights and productivity information

  • Verify and manage IBPM Pro subscription access

  • Provide and measure advertising where applicable

  • Detect abuse, fraud, security threats, or technical problems

  • Troubleshoot and improve reliability and performance

  • Respond to support and privacy requests

  • Comply with legal obligations

  • Protect IBPM, its users, and others

5. IBPM Insights

IBPM Pro may provide Insights derived from activity you create within the App.

For example, IBPM may calculate follow-through percentages or display the number of completed or outstanding follow-ups based on information stored in your account.

IBPM Insights are intended as organizational and productivity tools. They are not used to make employment, credit, insurance, legal, or similarly significant decisions about you.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

IBPM may offer paid subscriptions, including IBPM Pro.

Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store are billed and managed through your Apple account and are subject to Apple's applicable payment and subscription terms.

IBPM receives only the transaction and entitlement information necessary to determine whether paid features should be available to your account.

We may retain limited subscription records when reasonably necessary for:

  • Subscription verification

  • Customer support

  • Financial reconciliation

  • Fraud prevention

  • Legal or regulatory compliance

7. Business Card and Connection Sharing

IBPM allows you to voluntarily share your digital business card or professional information with other users.

When another user saves your business card:

  • They receive their own saved copy.

  • They may edit or personalize that saved copy.

  • Their edits do not change your original profile.

  • They may add private notes or organizational information to their own saved record.

Information you intentionally choose to share with another person is no longer exclusively controlled by IBPM once the recipient receives it. Recipients are responsible for how they use information they receive.

8. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

Service Providers

We may provide information to companies that help us operate IBPM, including providers of:

  • Authentication

  • Database and cloud infrastructure

  • Cloud functions and backend processing

  • Storage

  • Advertising

  • Consent management

  • App distribution and payment processing

  • Security and technical services

These providers process information according to their own terms, privacy policies, and contractual obligations.

At Your Direction

Information may be disclosed when you intentionally use a sharing feature, such as sharing your IBPM business card or contact information.

Legal and Safety Reasons

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

  • Comply with law, legal process, or government requests

  • Enforce applicable agreements

  • Investigate fraud or security issues

  • Protect the rights, safety, or property of IBPM, our users, or others

Business Transactions

If IBPM or substantially all of its assets are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

9. Firebase and Backend Services

IBPM uses Firebase and related Google infrastructure to support portions of the Services.

Services may include:

  • Firebase Authentication

  • Cloud Firestore

  • Cloud Functions

  • Cloud or file storage where used

  • Related Firebase or Google Cloud infrastructure

Firebase customers generally control the end-user information they provide to Firebase, while Google generally acts as a processor or service provider for that data under applicable privacy frameworks.

Firebase services use technical safeguards including HTTPS encryption in transit, and several Firebase services used by applications—including Authentication, Firestore and Cloud Functions—support encryption at rest.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide the Services

  • Maintain your account

  • Fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy

  • Protect security and prevent fraud

  • Resolve disputes or support requests

  • Maintain required financial or subscription records

  • Comply with applicable law

Most account content is retained while your account remains active.

When you delete your account, IBPM initiates deletion of account-associated information from active systems where reasonably practicable.

Some information may remain temporarily in:

  • System backups

  • Security logs

  • Fraud-prevention records

  • Transaction or financial records

  • Records we are legally required to retain

Information may also be retained in aggregated or de-identified form when it can no longer reasonably identify you.

I deliberately would not put "all data is erased within 30 days" here yet. Firebase supports developer-created workflows for deleting user-linked Firestore, Storage and other data, but the developer has to configure those workflows around the actual database structure. Once we verify your deletion architecture, we can add a specific timeframe if you want one.

11. Account Deletion and Privacy Requests

You may permanently delete your IBPM account using the Delete Account option within the App.

You may also contact us to request, where applicable:

  • Access to personal information

  • Correction of inaccurate information

  • Deletion of personal information

  • Information about how your information is used

  • Withdrawal of consent where processing depends on consent

  • Objection to or restriction of certain processing

  • Applicable advertising or targeted-advertising opt-outs

We may need to verify your identity before completing certain privacy requests.

To submit a privacy request, contact:

memberibpm@gmail.com

Please include "Privacy Request" in the subject line when possible.

12. Advertising and Privacy Choices

Your advertising options may depend on your jurisdiction and device.

You may be able to control advertising through:

  • Consent choices presented within the App

  • Your device's privacy or tracking settings

  • Google's advertising controls

  • Applicable privacy opt-out mechanisms

For users in regions where consent is legally required, Google requires disclosures and consent for certain advertising processing and provides consent-management tools for publishers.

13. International Data Processing

IBPM and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live.

For example, Firebase Authentication operates from U.S. data centers, while other Firebase services may operate through Google infrastructure in multiple locations.

Where required by applicable law, service providers may use approved legal mechanisms for international transfers of personal information.

14. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information.

These may include:

  • Authentication controls

  • Database access rules

  • Encrypted transmission

  • Access restrictions

  • Security monitoring

  • Infrastructure protections provided by our cloud providers

No electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

15. Privacy Rights by Location

Depending on where you live, privacy laws may provide additional rights regarding your personal information.

These rights may include the ability to:

  • Know what information is collected

  • Request access

  • Request correction

  • Request deletion

  • Obtain a copy of certain information

  • Object to or restrict certain processing

  • Withdraw consent

  • Opt out of certain targeted advertising, sales, or sharing

  • Appeal certain privacy decisions where applicable

We will respond to valid privacy requests as required by applicable law.

For users in jurisdictions where consent is the legal basis for processing, withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.

16. Children's Privacy

IBPM is not directed to children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information has been collected in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

17. Third-Party Links and Services

IBPM may contain links to third-party websites, tools, social networks, or resources.

Once you leave IBPM or interact with an independent third-party service, that service's own privacy policy and practices apply.

IBPM is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of independent third parties.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect:

  • New features

  • Changes in our technology

  • Changes in our service providers

  • Changes in legal requirements

  • Changes in our business practices

The "Last Updated" date will identify the most recent version.

If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where required by law.
